We turned an old hostel into a small, old European hotel. A long corridor, classic furniture, chandeliers and decorative details create an almost bourgeois atmosphere. We wanted to rethink this space, so contemporary art, random objects and images from another era found their way inside.
The centerpiece of the studio is our own homage to Yves Klein. The leather of several old massage tables was stitched into a single canvas, and the bodies of therapists and clients were covered in paint and left their prints on it. Old working material turned into an archive of touch.
In the treatment rooms, classical aesthetics meet characters from GTA San Andreas. The clash is intentional: for us, the classics and mass culture exist in the same time.
